The Awards Committee has finished the task of getting the nominations in for the CSI SE Region Awards. Good luck to all of the nominees and thanks to those who spent time sending endorsement letters, and special thanks to our past Past President J. R. Baron and President Randy Smith for their efforts and commitment to the Atlanta Chapter CSI in this effort. The next task is getting ready for the CSI Institute Awards. If you feel you have an insight for nominations and are willing to help with your time and input, please contact Cindy Rotton CSI, CDT at 678-485-8713 or email cindy.rotton@cpfilms.com.
Here is a helpful tip for our members: We are all award winners in CSI! It is so easy to be involved! It would help you, your career and the Atlanta Chapter CSI. It is also good to keep your CSI resumé and references up to date for that special time when the Awards Committee sends you that letter telling you of your nomination for a prestigious CSI Award! Good luck, and thank you for your involvement as a CSI Member.
Also, the Fellowship nominations deadline is December 15, 2006. If you have a candidate you wish to nominate, please contact Phil Kabza (email phil[at]specguy.com), Region Fellowship mentor. Note: If a candidate was not selected last year, it is possible that the reason (which is not divulged) could be that proper procedure was not followed. We would like to especially encourage candidates that were not chosen last year to re-submit an application again this year. It is time to get started on this process because the deadline is quickly approaching.
