About the ADA and Our Office
The ADA
The Americans with Disabilities Act, or ADA, provides comprehensive civil rights protections to individuals with disabilities in the areas of employment, public accommodations, state and local government services and telecommunications.
Title II of the ADA calls on state and local governments to ensure that qualified individuals with physical and mental disabilities are afforded equal opportunity to participate in those programs, services and activities offered by state and local governments.
Our Office
Serves as a technical resource to State agencies for the ADA's Title II general nondiscrimination requirements, program accessibility, communications and employment (including the reasonable accommodation process);
Assists State agencies in updating, strengthening and enhancing the scope of self-evaluation and transition plans to ensure compliance with the ADA mandate;

Biography
As the Senior ADA Architect, Tim Bromley oversees the Statewide Facility Improvements Program, which includes evaluating and reviewing ADA construction programs for compliance with the American’s with Disabilities Act and state disability law. Mr. Bromley also provides technical support to Facility Administrators/State agency personnel regarding alterations, Title II requirements and funding policies. He provides survey reports, supplements drawings and alteration designs for projects and manages inspections for completed projects. Additionally, Mr. Bromley provides technical assistance in code interpretations to the public, code officials, facility administrators and state agency personnel; and serves as the technical advisor for various committees. He assists in the development and rollout of training presentations and seminars and provides subject matter expert opinion as it relates to ADA/accessibility issues.
