The FY 2005 CSI Southeast Region Conference went quite well despite continuing hurricane threats. We are going to make this page a "scrapbook" for photos, comments, and stories from attendees. If you have anything to add, please email it to sam@constructatlanta.com and we will post it promptly.
Next year we will have a special opportunity--the Southeast Region Conference will be held in PUERTO RICO! Start saving your vacation days now! The conference will be held July 13-16 to avoid hurricane season, or as Madeline Valentin put it, "Mother Nature's spontaneity"! More information can be found at http://www.csiwse.org/csi/307604.
Several people have asked about a list of attendees from this past conference. We will be compiling a list with contact information and will send it by email to all registered attendees and exhibitors.
And now...onto the scrapbook!

"Our Institute VP and Staff visitors could not tell me enough how well this conference went and how great we pulled it together! They were all very impressed with Atlanta Chapter and how well we performed in light of all the obstacles."
--Casey Robb, Southeast Region Director
"I'm not a CSI member, but I volunteered at the check-in desk Friday morning, then played croquet in the afternoon. I had never played croquet before, and it was a lot harder than I had expected! There were a lot of laughs, because most of us had little or no experience with the game. Marsha Harding enticed a few of the Puerto Rican chapter members to join in the second game, and they were a lot of fun. They taught us the Spanish words for the different colors of balls, and the word tramposo which means "cheating"! The singing group "Cowboy Envy" performed at the Pub awards ceremony that evening, and I enjoyed their music. All in all I had a good time, and am trying to think of a way to get to Puerto Rico next year!"
