Presented by Sean Smith

Sean is the Principal-in-Charge of the Morrison Hershfield Mission Critical practice group within the firm. He has been with the firm for over 15 years and has worked in both the Canadian and US businesses. Sean is responsible for maintaining Morrison Hershfield’s North America leadership position in the industry. Sean’s day-to-day responsibilities included Key Account and Client Management, Sales and Marketing, and Project Sponsorship of major projects. Sean is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada.

This presentation will review the criteria that is important to selecting a location for a data center, compare the pros and cons of constructing a new building for a data center versus converting an existing building from some other use, and highlight the characteristics of an existing building that would make it attractive to an owner looking to convert it to a data center.
