Mr. Gary Summerlin, Design Manager for the Department of Aviation, Bureau of Planning & Development at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, will conduct a presentation showing the current and future projects that are a part of the Atlanta airport existing Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
Mr. Summerlin has a comprehensive background of over 38 years, as an Architect, Design Manager and Project Manager with a broad range of industry design, construction and related facility experience. Since 1998, he has a focused concentration on the planning, programming, design and construction of aviation facilities ranging from General Aviation and Military, to Jet Base and Main Line Commercial, covering landside and airside support facilities.
Acquiring a formal education, at Southern Polytechnic State University, reinforced by industry training, has provided him diverse opportunities to participate in a large spectrum of construction, design and facility projects. As Design Manager for the Department of Aviation, Bureau of Planning & Development at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, he is currently involved in several high profile projects to improve airport operations and passenger experience.
Mr. Summerlin is a licensed Architect in the State of Georgia and maintains professional affiliations with the AIA and AAAE, et al.
